Why does my order take up to 6 weeks to arrive?
Everything in the Designed By Debz shop is handmade to order. Nothing sits pre-made on a shelf waiting to be posted. When you place your order, you join a production queue, and your items are made by hand, from scratch, once your place in the queue is reached.
The wait time depends on how many orders are ahead of yours and how many items each of those orders contains. A customer ordering 15 pieces naturally takes longer to complete than one ordering a single item, so queue movement varies. On average, you can expect your order to be made and dispatched within 4 to 6 weeks.
We know this is different from what fast fashion has normalised. The expectation of next-day delivery exists because most high street brands mass-produce thousands of identical items in advance, often in poor conditions, and simply pull them from a warehouse shelf. That is not what we do.
When you order from us, your item is made specifically for you. That takes time, skill, and care. It also means less waste, better quality, and a garment that was never sitting in a landfill-bound overstock pile. Slow fashion is intentional fashion, and we think you are worth the wait.
What do I do if I need my order by a specific date?
Please get in touch before placing your order and we will do our best to advise you. We would rather have that conversation upfront than disappoint you later.
Returns and Exchanges
Can I return or exchange a bra if it does not fit?
Because all our bras are handmade to order and made specifically for you, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges on orders placed independently.
However, if you book a Personal Bra Fitting with Debz before ordering, and the size we recommend together does not fit, we will remake it for you free of charge. The fitting costs £30 and includes a one-to-one Zoom call, guided measurement support, and a size recommendation from us. That recommendation comes with our free remake guarantee.
If you order without a fitting, your bra is made to the measurements you provide. We strongly recommend using our Bra Size Calculator and taking your time with measurements before ordering.
Underwear
What is your underwear made from?
All our underwear is made from certified organic, Oeko-Tex Standard 100 cotton — soft, breathable, and kind to sensitive skin. Our bralettes also contain 5% spandex for a gentle stretch and comfortable fit. Our fabrics are printed using water-based dyes and our underwear is free from scratchy labels or itchy seams.
Where is your underwear made?
All our underwear — briefs, bralettes, bras, and boxers — is handmade in the UK by our team of skilled seamstresses. Every piece is made to order, which means less waste and more care in every stitch.
What styles of briefs do you offer?
We offer five brief styles, all available in a range of prints and inclusive sizing:
- Thong — high-waisted, minimal coverage, comfortable fit
- Hipster Brief — lower rise with leg bands that sit at the hip with full coverage at the back
- Midi Brief — a mid-rise style with moderate coverage at the back
- Full Brief — full coverage, high-waisted comfort
- Pouched Brief — with a structured front pouch for a comfortable, supportive fit
What styles of boxer shorts do you offer?
We offer four boxer styles to suit a range of bodies and needs:
- Pouched Boxer — structured front pouch for support and comfort
- Pouchless Boxer — a flat-front style for a smooth, relaxed fit
- Pouchless Boxer with Menstrual Gusset — includes a gusset designed to hold a pad in place, ideal for period wear
- Pouched Stuffer-Friendly Boxer — a roomier pouch designed to accommodate a stuffer or packer
What bralette styles do you offer?
Our Comfort Bralettes are available in two styles:
- Racer Back — a sporty, supportive back with crossed straps
- Vest Back — a classic, relaxed back with straight straps
Both styles are wire-free, sensory-friendly, and made from soft organic cotton jersey.
Is your underwear suitable for chronic illness, disability, or sensory needs?
Yes, and this is something we care deeply about. Our underwear is designed to be genuinely comfortable for people who struggle with standard clothing — including those living with chronic illness, fibromyalgia, EDS, autism, ADHD, sensory processing differences, and other conditions that make scratchy, tight, or uncomfortable clothing a real problem.
Every piece is made with this in mind:
- No scratchy labels or tags
- No harsh elastics or tight waistbands — soft, gentle fabric waistbands throughout
- No irritating seams
- Soft, breathable organic cotton that is gentle against sensitive skin
- Wire-free bras and bralettes — no underwire digging in
- Gentle stretch that moves with your body without restriction
- Inclusive sizing that accommodates bodies that fluctuate due to illness, medication, or other factors
We also offer styles suited to specific needs, including period-friendly boxers with a menstrual gusset and stuffer-friendly pouched boxers for trans and non-binary customers.
How do I find my size?
Our underwear is made to our own unique patterns and does not follow standard high street sizing. We strongly recommend measuring yourself before ordering.

Is your underwear sensory-friendly?
Yes. All our underwear is designed with sensory comfort in mind — no scratchy labels, no irritating seams, no harsh elastics. We use soft organic cotton, smooth overlocked seams, and gentle waistbands throughout.
Is your underwear suitable for breastfeeding?
Our Comfort Bras and Bralettes are wire-free and easy to wear during breastfeeding. Many of our customers find them ideal for nursing comfort.
How do I care for my underwear?
- Machine wash at 30°C
- Do not tumble dry bras and bralettes — reshape and air dry
- Briefs and boxers can be tumble dried on a low setting
- Do not bleach or dry clean
- Iron on a low heat if needed
