How to Calculate Your Bra Size UK — Step by Step
You'll need a soft measuring tape. Measure in inches or centimetres — whichever you prefer. For the most accurate result, measure without a bra on or wearing a non-padded bra.
Step 1 — Measure Your Underbust (Band Size)
Wrap the tape firmly around your ribcage, directly under your bust. Keep it level and snug — this gives you your band size in inches. Our bras are available in back sizes 24" to 60".
Step 2 — Measure Your Bust
Measure loosely around the fullest part of your bust, keeping the tape parallel to the floor. This gives you your bust measurement.
Step 3 — Use Our Bra Cup Size Calculator UK
Subtract your underbust measurement from your bust measurement. The difference determines your cup size:
- Less than 1" / 2cm — AA
- 1" / 2–3cm — A
- 2" / 4–5cm — B
- 3" / 6–7cm — C
- 4" / 8–9cm — D

If you're used to shopping in EU or US sizes, here's a quick conversion guide for band sizes:
- UK 28 = EU 60 = US 28
- UK 30 = EU 65 = US 30
- UK 32 = EU 70 = US 32
- UK 34 = EU 75 = US 34
- UK 36 = EU 80 = US 36
- UK 38 = EU 85 = US 38

Cup sizes are generally the same across UK and US sizing. Note: our bras use UK sizing and our own unique patterns — always use your measurements rather than converting from another system.
Our Sizing vs High Street Sizing
Because our bras are made to Designed by Debz's own unique patterns, they may fit differently to brands like M&S, Bravissimo, Curvy Kate or Freya. We strongly recommend using your measurements rather than your usual label size.
Sister Sizing — What Is It and Should I Try It?
Sister sizing means going up a band size and down a cup size (or vice versa) to get the same cup volume with a different fit. For example, a 34F and a 36E are sister sizes. This can be useful if you're between sizes or prefer a looser or firmer band.
